Chapter 31

Hinata’s mouth fell open.

They were in a traditional ryokan with tatami mats, panelled walls and wooden beams above them. Right in front of Hinata were two single mattresses. The room extended to the left, where there was a small table with floor seating. But the main show-stopper was just past the mattresses –

A huge glass sliding door was open to reveal a round private onsen surrounded by traditional trees.

‘What do you think, Sho?’

Hinata whirled around. He grabbed the neckline of Oikawa’s shirt and pulled the setter down, hard, into a kiss.

‘I love it,’ Hinata breathed, after. ‘It’s like something from a movie! I have always wanted to stay in a ryokan – and it even has an onsen!!!’

Hinata’s enthusiasm was infectious just like Oikawa knew it was and so he let himself get infected: they ran around, opened a door by the seating area to find a small kitchenette, there were kimonos laid out on the mattresses and Hinata dipped his hand in the onsen water which was pleasantly hot.

‘Do you think we should get snacks and some food while the shops are open?’ Oikawa mused, opening the small fridge in the kitchenette and peering at its empty depths. ‘I don’t want us to get hungry later and have nothing to eat – ow!’

Small teeth had bit into Oikawa’s arm but it wasn’t really painful. Oikawa stood up as Hinata playfully jumped back looking guilty.

‘I don’t need a snack because I have you!’ Hinata stuck his tongue out.

‘Come here you -’

Oikawa chased Hinata around the ryokan, Hinata’s laughter ringing out like joyous song. Oikawa finally tackled Hinata and they fell down across the two single mattresses on the floor, on top of the kimonos. Oikawa tickled Hinata and the crow couldn’t help but giggle but then the cobra stopped, and stared, as if he was the one magnetised.

‘Toru?’

The setter closed the gap and kissed the spiker. Hinata closed his eyes, blood pumping, heart thudding. A whole weekend, Hinata’s soul soared, a whole weekend of this.

Hinata latched his arms around Oikawa’s neck just as the setter pulled away.

‘As delicious as you taste,’ Oikawa murmured, ‘lets go into town and get some food. I also want to show you Obanazawa at night.’

‘We’re in – Obanazawa!?!’

Oikawa smiled. ‘We sure are, Sho.’

‘I’ve never been but I’ve always heard it’s beautiful!’

Oikawa smirked. Not as beautiful as you.

But as picturesque as Hinata had heard the city was, they had all weekend, and it’s not like the Obanazawa was going anywhere…

‘Are you sure,’ Hinata whispered, doll-eyed, bright, staring up at Oikawa with his arms firmly latched around the third year’s neck, ‘we can’t just stay here like this?’

Oikawa closed his eyes and blew out some air.

Fuck.

Oikawa would not last very long if Hinata continued behaving this way. Cute, smitten, eyes-adoring, under him. Fuck food, maybe Oikawa should just give into his other instincts –

Yet as overwhelmingly tempting as that was, Oikawa was a worrier –

And more than that, he hated the thought of not providing for Hinata; he did not want to have a starving crow on his hands, famished from volleyball and –

And whatever else the night had for them.

With the mountain of self-control Oikawa knew he had, he kissed Shoyo lightly on the lips before peering into those beautiful eyes.

‘Let’s stock up just in case. And then, I’ll do whatever you want Shoyo.’

A blush blossomed on Hinata’s cheeks like cherries; Oikawa was satisfied to see the fire that he could so easily light up in Hinata’s eyes.

Oikawa pushed himself up off the floor, and got up, before scooping Hinata up into his arms, the crow squealing and laughing in delight, as Oikawa carried Hinata carefully back the way they came, down the stone steps and back to Oikawa’s car.

Obanazawa was everything Shoyo thought it would be and more. Oikawa drove and took them to the Ginzan Onsen district; a gorgeous area in Obanazawa with old-fashioned wooden inns, street lamps and wooden bridges criss-crossing across a river, like something from 100 years ago. It was dark but the lights from the street lamps and inns made the place glisten like fairy lights.

As much as Hinata wanted to stay locked in Oikawa’s embrace, he could not contain his excitement at seeing the traditional buildings and the feel of stepping into a different era.

‘I think this place was built around the Taisho period,’ Oikawa remarked, as they strolled along, stopping at the middle of a bridge.

‘Awesome,’ Hinata sung in whispered awe, gazing about the place.

Hinata asked Oikawa if they could take some more selfies and who was Oikawa to say no to anything Hinata asked for? They took selfies on the bridge with the beautiful backdrop of Ginzan lit-up behind them before exploring more of the area. It turned out there were no supermarkets within the district so Hinata found somewhere a ten minute walk away where they did their food shop instead.

How could Hinata explain how he felt in these moments? These moments that were so natural, so trivial to other people but that were so momentous and precious to him? Choosing shrimp snacks in a store, walking around with a shopping basket, out in the open, with Oikawa Toru from Aoba Johsai High School – their rival school and volleyball club –

This had to be insane beautiful madness.

No hiding now. No risk of mom or Karasuno or Seijoh or anyone in Natori or Sendai – anyone at all. They were two strangers here and how freeing it was. How easy it was to laugh and smile without the judgment of others. Hinata felt like he was on holiday, and, as always with Oikawa, with not a care in the world.

The only thing so far they’d fought over was who should pay for the food shopping: Oikawa incessantly using his trump card of, ‘I’m your senpai. You’re my kohai’. Even though this made Hinata’s heart jolt at Oikawa calling him, my kohai, Oikawa was not going to distract him from his mission this time: at breakneck speed Hinata dodged under Oikawa’s arm and tapped his debit card against the card reader machine, which meant he won, for now.

On the drive back to the ryokan, the two of them discussed their plans for tomorrow and when Oikawa had parked the car, Hinata wasted no time in zipping to the boot and insisted on carrying all the shopping up.

‘Well. No,’ Oikawa smirked, standing by the boot, car keys in hand. ‘You paid for it. I should carry it.’

‘But I want to carry it,’ Hinata stared up at the setter, ‘please Toru?’

Please Toru. That sound, those words – far more piercing than they had any right to be.

‘Hmmm,’ Oikawa pretended to think about it, ‘how about… a kiss?’ he raised an eyebrow and watched the crow.

Of course, Hinata naturally became bashful, his cheeks turning pink. ‘A kiss?’

‘If you kiss me, I’ll let you carry one bag. The lighter one.’

It wasn’t as if this was the first time. It wasn’t as if this was weeks and weeks ago, when things were still uncertain between them, when a touch was unclear as to what it meant – it wasn’t as if they hadn’t kissed oh so many times now that Hinata had lost count –

So why did Hinata feel a rippling, a bubbling beneath the surface? Why was he so nervous when he had kissed Oikawa now so many times?

‘Sho?’

‘You’re – you’re too tall,’ Hinata said quickly before those astute eyes read his mind.

‘Oh? That never stopped you before…’

Oikawa’s smirk was far too wide and that look far too smug.

Well then.

Hinata would just have to wipe that smirk off his face.

They were still both in their respective volleyball uniforms, cooled off now from being hot and sweaty in practice. The July air was pleasantly warm and less humid as they were now at a higher altitude. Hinata glanced around; the ryokan was on a slope in a secluded place; only trees surrounded them.

Hinata slowly approached. That confident smirk of Oikawa’s had not wavered even as Hinata came closer to him. Sure Oikawa’s heart had started pounding but the shorty did not need to know that.

Hinata slipped two fingers onto the waistband of the setter’s shorts –

And smiled.

Sure enough, the upperclassman’s confident expression had wavered. Nervousness? Anticipation? Excitement? Maybe all three? Hinata could feel Oikawa’s burning curiosity of what Hinata would do next.

Hinata pulled down on one side of Oikawa’s shorts and gently kissed the inner side of the captain’s pubic bone. He felt Oikawa quiver and tense, heard the setter breathe, and when Hinata stood up straight – that smirk was gone. Instead, Hinata had become a meal and Oikawa indeed would eat him up.

The pounding in the crow’s chest, the way Oikawa was looking at him now –

‘S-so you’ll let me carry the bags right?’

Hinata had to speak to break this all-consuming, sucking tension like a black hole pulling him in.

Oikawa took a step forward and tilted Hinata’s chin up with his index finger and it was Hinata’s turn to have his heart slam repeatedly against his chest.

‘You,’ Oikawa murmured, those gorgeous pools of warm chocolate brown eyes drowning Hinata, ‘are very, very dangerous.’

Oikawa lowered his head and kissed Hinata. The spiker wrapped his arms around the setter, clinging to the captain like a koala hugging a tree.

Hinata felt Oikawa’s semi-hard erection digging into his stomach but he was so lost in the kiss this barely registered. So passionate, so wholesome, so heartfelt was the kiss – how was it possible for this to get even better?

When the kiss had finished and Hinata opened his eyes, as usual he found Oikawa already staring at him.

He blushed. ‘What do you mean,’ Hinata muttered, ‘that I’m dangerous?’

Oikawa chuckled and kissed Hinata’s warmed cheek.

‘I mean,’ Oikawa lifted Hinata up so that the crow was sat in his arms, ‘that you’re fortunate that I like a challenge.’

Hinata had no idea what he meant but suddenly Hinata was holding on to Oikawa’s neck as he bobbed along, up the steps back to the ryokan, Oikawa carrying him.

Oikawa gently put Hinata down when they reached the threshold before undoing Hinata’s laces and taking off his shoes.

‘This reminds me of the earthquake,’ Oikawa said softly, carefully taking off Hinata’s shoes. ‘When you hurt your leg and I took your shoes off for you – do you remember?’

‘How could I forget?’

Hinata attacked Oikawa with a kiss now that the setter was at an accessible height. Oikawa hummed into the kiss as Hinata hugged Oikawa again. Hinata then doted Oikawa’s face with kisses, confident, meaningful, excessive as the scratches made by Kageyama had almost fully faded now and Hinata could spoil his favourite face with as much adoration and affection as he could physically muster.

‘Toru are you blushing?’

Oikawa quickly undid his laces and took his trainers off keeping his eyes down. ‘No, I’m just very warm that’s all.’

Hinata giggled. ‘You’re blushing, aren’t you?!’

Oikawa then extended himself up to his fullest height. ‘So what if I am?’ he raised an eyebrow, looking down at his prey. ‘What are you going to do about it, Sho?’

Hinata jumped – wrapping his arms and legs around Oikawa who caught him with a hnngphff.

‘I,’ Hinata held Oikawa’s face in his hands, ‘I’m going to make you blush even more.’

Bold. I like it.

Oikawa kissed Hinata again, soft, tantalising, so full of gentle feeling that Hinata needed more –

But Oikawa suddenly broke away –

‘I’ve just realised, we’ve completely forgotten the shopping!!! Don’t move, Sho -’

And before Hinata had registered what was happening, he’d been carefully placed down and Oikawa was hopping down the stone steps, doing up his laces.

Hinata felt like a racing car waiting at an amber light. He felt ready, wanting but everything kept stopping and starting and still, like from before, a nervousness and excitement bubbled beneath the surface, a quiet rumble behind every breath, a quake shadowing every heartbeat.

The sound of water made Hinata turn just as Oikawa ran back up the stone steps carrying two bags of shopping.

‘Looks like I won either way,’ he smirked, using his feet to peel and kick off his shoes.

‘You said you’ll do whatever I want, right?’ Hinata stared past the open sliding door, to the water, to the steam, to the trees, his back to Oikawa.

Oikawa’s eyes darkened, satisfied. ‘That’s right.’

Hinata looked back at the setter. ‘We haven’t been in the onsen yet.’

‘No we haven’t.’

‘I – I would like us to go in the onsen.’

Oikawa smiled, his eyes twinkling. ‘OK.’

‘We should shower first right?’

‘Together?’ Oikawa raised an eyebrow.

Hinata flushed red. ‘S-s-separate.’

Oikawa briefly pursed his lips, trying not to laugh. ‘Sho, we’re about to be naked together in an onsen. That’s not very different to being naked together in a shower.’

‘Yes it is! In the onsen I’ll be – c-covered by the water…’

Oikawa put down the shopping and grabbed Shoyo round the waist, lifting him up and swirling him round. Hinata squealed, dizzy but then he was back on his feet once again. Teeth bit into his cheek –

‘Ow!!’

‘You’re just too cute,’ Oikawa kissed him on the mouth before picking up the shopping and walking over to the kitchenette.

Again Hinata felt the fluttering flurry of butterflies rage through his stomach as he turned to watch the perfect form of Oikawa, putting the shopping away, the setter humming to himself.

A rattling, a stirring. Hinata walked past Oikawa to the other end of the ryokan where there was a door that led to a beautiful cream and wood style bathroom. Cream pristine towels were all provided, shampoo and shower gel too. Hinata showered, unable to shift the feeling of wanting, of longing. His heart was full, brimming over, yet still so thirsty.

Hinata couldn’t understand these feelings, he just felt them. No, he didn’t want to analyse them either. He would enjoy this weekend with Oikawa: Oikawa was his focus.

Hinata exited the bathroom in a towel and almost collided head-first into that same Oikawa.

‘Careful there, Sho,’ the setter caught his shoulder and just that hand, that skin-on-skin contact was enough to send a shot of electricity through Hinata. ‘Are you sure,’ Oikawa’s eyes glinted, ‘you don’t want to join me?’

‘I’m sure!’ Hinata squeaked, avoiding the setter’s gaze, hearing a roar of laughter.

‘OK I’ll see you under the cover of water,’ Oikawa walked around Hinata and entered the bathroom. ‘Seeing as water is so opaque.’

Hinata turned to retort something but faltered –

Oikawa had peeled off his volleyball shirt and had tossed it on top of Hinata’s, which was also on the floor. As Oikawa straightened himself up, his abs rippled with the motion. Still watching Hinata like a snake, Oikawa tugged his thumbs into the waistband of his shorts.

The setter burst into laughter as the little ball of sunshine bolted, his footsteps tottering across the floor away from the bathroom.

‘Don’t worry!’ Oikawa called. ‘You won’t be able to see anything in the water!!’

Hinata grumbled, standing by the open door to the onsen, wet skin and hair, cream towel around his waist, wanting to think of something clever to say back to that arrogant third year but couldn’t think of anything. And even if he did think of something, the setter wouldn’t be able to hear him above the running water of the shower.

And so, Hinata walked past the threshold and to the edge of the onsen. Small stone steps led to the depths of water. Hinata tugged his towel off and dropped it by the side before taking his first step down. The water was hot but pleasantly so, and Hinata lowered himself until he was covered by the water up to the bottom of his neck. The heat relaxed his muscles and felt soothing after the long day and volleyball practice from earlier. Just as he was adjusting to the heat, a figure strode past the glass and emerged in the doorway.

Like something out of a dream, through the steam of the onsen, Oikawa stood, dripping wet, hair slicked back like a model, skin glistening with droplets like pearls, stark naked. His dick was wet, flaccid, coiled within a mass of dark pubic hair.

Disgustingly perfect –

And perfectly mine.

The thought raptured Hinata like a diamond claw, a truth both hard and beautiful.

In all his smirking glory, Oikawa approached the edge of the onsen and stared down at Hinata, at the other side of the tub. Their eyes met.

Unbeknownst to Hinata, the crow too had never looked so beautiful. His orange hair was soaked and combed back, exposing his forehead and accentuating his features. His face was hot from the steam – ever so slightly blushed, and the skin already sweating.

Oikawa slowly climbed down the steps, enjoying the pang of the temperature, different from the cool shower. He lowered himself but stayed standing. The water reached to just below Oikawa’s belly button – that meant that if Hinata stood it would be up to his diaphragm, the bottom of his chest.

Oikawa did not take his eyes off Hinata’s as he waded through the hot water, making ripples. On time, Hinata’s heart had begun to beat at the closing proximity of the setter and as Oikawa slowly closed the gap, he lowered himself more into the water, bending his knees, so that his face was at level with Hinata’s.

Oikawa kissed the spiker and without hesitation, Hinata wrapped his arms and legs around Oikawa. Hinata’s back was against the tub, Oikawa’s hands went to his waist, holding him in place – Hinata’s dick squished against Oikawa’s abdomen and every sensation was dynamite –

The water, the heat, the kiss, the pressure, Oikawa’s lips, hands, skin, on his skin, the muscles, the force, the moment of it all.

Hinata tugged hard on Oikawa’s wet hair making the setter gasp in surprise and break the kiss, his head pulled up –

Oikawa looked down and Hinata grinned, his eyes sparkling.

‘Why you little -’

Now it was Hinata’s turn to gasp as Oikawa began gently kissing the spiker’s neck, hands exploring, tantalising tracing Hinata’s skin, barely touching, as he balanced Hinata on his thighs, pushing into the spiker to hold Hinata’s back against the tub.

This was more, it was too much and not enough, Oikawa’s lips and affection making Hinata moan.

‘Toru -’

Hungry lips swallowed Hinata’s breath, a force, a pressure hungrier than the last and Hinata could barely breathe fast enough to catch up with his racing heart.

But suddenly the pressure was gone and Oikawa was holding him tightly, breathing loudly against his ear. The thudding in his chest – was that Oikawa’s heartbeat or his own?

Oikawa said nothing but was panting like he was playing volleyball, his fingertips gripping onto Hinata for control. Hinata’s heart sputtered – again, the stop-start motion, the feeling like something was coming but not quite here, the ache of something more.

Oikawa then maneauovered so that his own back was against the tub, as Hinata still clung to him, sat on him, thighs to thighs, a gap between their crotches, torsos, bodies. Hinata’s hands were still laced behind the setter’s neck. Oikawa had his eyes closed and was breathing heavily through his nose.

‘Are you – OK, Toru?’

His eyes snapped open. A grin slowly spread across that marvelous face.

‘I,’ Oikawa kissed Hinata quickly on the mouth, ‘am more than OK.’

‘I’m glad.’

Hinata wanted to start things up again, he wanted to get going – he hadn’t touched Oikawa between the legs but was sure that the setter was hard like he was but then the sudden thought came to Hinata –

Maybe he doesn’t want to.

The thought chilled Hinata to the bone so much so that he froze. And Oikawa noticed.

‘What is it, Sho?’

Hinata buried his face in Oikawa’s neck so that he didn’t have to look at him.

Ahhh…

Perhaps that was it.

In a way, it made sense.

Hinata was only sixteen… They’d fooled around and sure that was fine but… But every time this evening when things had begun to move forward it somehow felt as if they were moving backwards… And once again Hinata noted, there was some reserve on Oikawa’s part…

‘Sho?’

Hinata shook his head against Oikawa’s neck, wet hair grazing against his skin.

Oikawa chuckled and kissed Hinata on the forehead – but this was a farce.

Oikawa had felt the shift in an instant, had felt Hinata suddenly tense up and hide but couldn’t understand why… Oikawa wrapped his arms around Hinata’s back and stroked that perfect skin shooting tingles up Hinata’s spine. He’d closed the gap bringing Hinata’s body against his own –

And felt Hinata’s erection hard against him.

But still.

‘You know you can tell me anything, Sho,’ Oikawa whispered in his ear. ‘Anything at all. But only if you’re comfortable doing so.’

Perhaps this was too much, too soon? Too far? Too much pressure? Maybe Hinata felt pressured on this weekend away even though Oikawa absolutely in no way whatsoever wanted to pressure Hinata to do anything –

‘When I said I’d do whatever you want me to do, I meant it. Likewise, don’t do anything you don’t want to do. I will never pressurise you to do anything with me, you know that, don’t you?’

Hinata nodded against him, and clung to Oikawa tightly.

But that didn’t seem to ease the crow.

But if that wasn’t what was on his gorgeous mind, then what was?

Oikawa kissed Hinata on the cheek and stroked his skin, aware of his erection between them.

‘Can I,’ Oikawa murmured, ‘touch you, Shoyo?’

‘You don’t have to ask.’

Was that hurt Oikawa had sensed in the spiker’s voice or was it his imagination?

But Oikawa’s hand went to Hinata’s dick and his mouth went to Hinata’s mouth and he felt the middle blocker instantaneously melt.

As Oikawa began to tease him, Hinata moaned against his mouth.

But Oikawa broke away as he continued to touch Hinata.

‘Look at me.’

Hinata opened his eyes and stared back into the gaze of a cobra.

Ah!’

Oikawa’s hand felt way too good, his movements way too experienced. Hinata could not hide on his face just how good it felt and knew that once again, Oikawa enjoyed seeing this.

‘What do you want?’

‘Ahn! T-’

Faster, slick, with not enough friction due to the water but still Oikawa was squeezing ever so slightly tighter –

‘I’ll give you whatever you want, Sho. What do you want?’

Hinata threw his head back as Oikawa’s hand worked faster – he was sweating harder from the heat and the pleasure. His hands moved from Oikawa’s neck to shoulders, his nails digging into skin. Hinata closed his eyes focusing on the sensation, somewhere in the back of his mind knowing that Oikawa was watching him like a hawk.

‘I love making you like this, Sho but you still haven’t told me what you want.’

How could Hinata concentrate on anything else right now?

Aaghh-

He came, eyes shut, wailing, holding onto Oikawa, breathless, resting his forehead at the top of Oikawa’s chest.

‘You,’ Hinata panted. ‘I want – you.’

Oikawa stroked Hinata’s hair. ‘You already have me -’

Hinata was so high up it took him a moment to come back down. Exhilarated, sure, but only then did he realised that Oikawa had not understood what he’d meant. But arms hoisted him up and lips met with his and anything with Oikawa was pure bliss.

If this was all they had, if this was all it would be, would it be enough?

Yes.

Hinata’s heart and mind answered in less than a heartbeat.

A thousand times yes.

Anything. Anything with Oikawa.

Hinata hummed into the kiss enjoying it but still unsettled, unsure, uncertain.

‘You must be super tired from the day, also from me dragging you to meet Seijoh – shall we get ready for bed? We can go again in the onsen tomorrow?’

Hinata agreed although he didn’t want to but before he knew it –

‘Aaaaaah!’

Oikawa had stood up with Hinata in his arms and begun wading towards the stone steps of the onsen. The change in temperature was sudden and despite it being warm in July, compared to the heat of the water he felt cold. Not to mention – he was completely naked, so was Oikawa –

‘No longer covered by water, are we, Sho?’ Oikawa winked at Hinata and Hinata stared dumbfounded back at the setter.

Back at the edge, they picked up their towels Hinata drying himself super quickly before wrapping it around his waist. Oikawa didn’t even both properly drying himself off and instead wrapped the towel around his hair before entering the ryokan butt naked.

‘Shall we put the kimonos on?’

Hinata put on the avacado green one on that was too big for him. He laughed when Oikawa put on the cherry blossom pink one: the arms were too short, and it only came up to above his knee caps.

But Hinata’s laughter was clipped, a worry still hung in the air, and Oikawa’s words still shone before him:

I’ll give you whatever you want, Sho. What do you want?

‘Sho?’

‘Huh?’

‘I said, shall we brush our teeth? And get ready for bed?’

What is on his mind, Oikawa wondered, staring at the cutiepie looking adorable in the green kimono.

They brushed their teeth standing next to each other, staring at each other in the mirror, wearing their respective kimonos. But as lovely as the moment was, Oikawa felt it: some unspoken concern or worry niggling at Hinata. To push, to pressure was not the way. In his own time…

Oikawa spat out the toothepaste, wiped his mouth with a towel and kissed the top of Hinata’s head, on his damp hair.

‘I’ll get the mattresses on the floors ready,’ Oikawa smiled and then left the bathroom.

Hinata spat out his toothepaste and quietly closed the door.

And in that moment, he made a decision.

When Hinata left the bathroom, it was darker now, with all the lights out but one lamp on the floor near the futons that had been laid out next to each other. Oikawa was drying his hair, sitting atop the covering and the futon as it was too warm to sleep with a duvet. He turned as he heard Hinata approach.

Hinata stopped short of the futons, his face slightly in shadow. Oikawa looked up and froze, towel in hand against his hair.

‘What’s wrong, Sho?’

Hinata took a deep breath. He stepped into the light and gently extracted the towel from Oikawa’s hand and placed it carelessly on his own futon. He then knelt down on his futon facing a perplexed Oikawa, and with the softness of a feather, placed his hands on the setter’s shoulders guiding him back, down, so that he lay flat against the futon.

Oikawa opened his mouth to speak but then –

Hinata pulled the tie of Oikawa’s kimono, and the pink opened like the wings of a butterfly, falling to the side, to reveal Oikawa’s perfect naked body. Before Oikawa could say a word, Hinata also pulled at the string of his own kimono, exposing his skin before climbing onto the setter, front to front, and sliding up, groin to groin, stomach to stomach.

With eyes the size of volleyballs Oikawa stared as Hinata held himself up above Oikawa with his palms on either side of Oikawa’s shoulders, staring down at the setter – orange-haired, pretty, innocent, bright – a sight Oikawa could get used to.

Oikawa stared up at Hinata lying on top of him. Those frail legs against Oikawa’s legs, the bristle of Hinata’s pubic hair against his skin, that soft dick against Oikawa’s that was very soon not going to be soft, those gorgeous eyes boring down at him –

Oikawa was mesmerised.

‘I -’

Hinata was never good at this sort of thing. He struggled with his emotions, struggled to articulate them and at times when he felt overwhelmed things would come out in bursts –

And anything, anything at all to do with this sort of thing, that Hinata lacked so much experience in, felt ten times harder.

‘I want more.’

If Oikawa’s eyes were the size of volleyballs they now grew to the size of spaceships.

‘I-If you want to,’ Hinata hasilty added, blushing, ‘only if you want to.’

Oikawa blew out air and closed his eyes.

Was this a dream? It had to be a dream, right?

‘If I want to…’ Oikawa murmured dreamily and opened his eyes again. Oikawa looked directly into Hinata’s eyes, ‘I’ve wanted to from the moment you first did this to me right after the earthquake, do you remember? You had a bad dream and it was the first night you stayed over and we shared my bed… You climbed on top of me,’ Oikawa smiled softly from the memory. ‘You have no idea how hard that was for me.’

‘Even – back then?! S-so -’ Hinata’s eyes lit up from digesting Oikawa’s words, ‘you do want to?!’

‘I’ve always wanted to.’

‘But – but – earlier I felt like you kept moving away from me – like you didn’t want -’

‘Is that why you went quiet?’ Oikawa whispered, inspecting the crow.

Hinata nodded.

Oikawa pinched his eyes shut, briefly, frustrated. ‘No, Sho. I was stopping myself. Don’t you see? I thought perhaps you didn’t want to take things further and I didn’t want to put any pressure on you seeing as I know that this is all new to you. Every time you’re close to me, every time you touch me, I have to control myself because I always want -’

But Oikawa never got to finish his sentence.
